David & Ginger Hildebrand -- The Colonial Music Institute |
|
DAVID & GINGER HILDEBRAND are available for concerts in many venues throughout the country and abroad from their home and studio near Annapolis, Maryland. When onstage their music intertwines with stories and discussion to create a vivid sense of our cultural heritage. Concerts are intimate, even in large halls, and audience members frequently comment that they have felt as if they were in a colonial drawing room. It is always clear how much this couple enjoys what they do.
THE COLONIAL MUSIC INSTITUTE conducts and promotes research and educational outreach in the fields of early American music and dance. Through its website the Institute offers information and resource materials for students and fellow scholars, as well as helpful publications and on-line databases for researchers and teachers. CMI's mission features primary research enlightened by interdisciplinary scholarship, disseminated through scholarly writing, authentic performances, and sound recordings made to the highest standards.

Maryland Hall Labyrinth |
|
The centerpiece of Maryland Hall’s Founder’s Green is the labyrinth, which also features an artist’s circle, a changing array of large-scale outdoor sculptures and majestic elm trees and benches for reflection. Maryland Hall’s labyrinth was constructed in 2002, and is a replica of that inlaid in the floor of Notre Dame de Chartres Cathedral outside Paris. The Artist’s Circle sits on the opposite side of the labyrinth, and is a circular area that is usedby artists and arts classes on a regular basis and by visitors who come to reflect, meditate and enjoy the outdoors. Much of the Maryland Hall community, including students, teachers, parents and neighbors, enjoy the labyrinth, bench and artist’s circle year round.
